Hayley & Elle

—Hide

Now to update the music content on this page…

Quite some time ago, I recorded a song that my little sister and her friend wrote. We recorded everything in one shot, in my spare bedroom at home… I love how it turned out and would love these two talented girls to write some more stuff.

The track is called ‘Hide’.

It’s Elle on Keys and Vocals, Hayley on Vocals, Me on Drums, and Josh on Bass…

Hope you enjoy!

It’s been quite a while since my last update…

Still attempting to take a photo everyday this year. The task has become quite difficult at times and some of the shots are not very good at all…

Here is a select few from the last month or so…

I am really proud to be playing in a band with this great songwriter!

The album we recorded is out and this is the first single/video clip from it…

What’s that you ask? Jim Ward… Yes that’s right, it is Jim Ward *At The Drive-In & Sparta* singing on this track. (Not in the clip though)

Enjoy!

The 365 day challenge is forcing me to look around and get creative. I’ve found that some days are easier than others… Today was a day where nothing really presented itself and I thought I’d end up taking a boring self portrait or something… Then, late this afternoon as I was walking through a carpark, I took a quick shot of a puddle reflecting the clouds with my iPhone. I didn’t look at it straight away, put the iPhone in my pocket an moved on. When I got home, I looked through my photos, did a quick edit and ended up with this little beauty… Very happy with that!

The first week of my 365 day project has come and gone. There has already been challenges… I was extremely sick and confined to bed for much of one day. I took a shot from bed looking through the curtains that day. It’s not a classic, but it does represent my theme and also what I was going through that day.
Just one week in and I am already noticing that my photography will benefit greatly from this project. I am learning about my camera, framing a shot, and more importantly, looking at what is around me…
Not all shots are going to be great, but the journey to find the great ones should be fun.
The above shot is from day 5…
Enjoy!

Day 2 of my 365 day project…
My subject today is my beautiful little girl.
Now, I know what you are thinking… Isn’t the project called ‘Crooked’? There is an explanation.
People are not perfect. Even though Abby is in my eyes… There will be tough times, mistakes will be made. My love for her, however, will never change.
Having a child gives one a unique glimpse of God’s love for us… We are His creation, His love for us is unchanging, no matter what we do.
